Choose a die and roll

Select D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20 or D100, then choose how many dice to roll. Custom sides support any whole number from 2 to 100.

The dice count and the die size are separate settings. Twenty dice and one 20-sided die are different rolls, and so are 100 dice and a D100: set the count from 1 to 100 and the sides from 2 to 100 to get exactly the roll you need.

See each die and the total

Each result is shown separately. The total adds the dice and applies your modifier once. Results stay in this tab until you clear them or reload the page.

Under Custom sides & appearance you can show results in violet, teal or blue. The colour changes how the dice look, never which numbers come up.

Keep the tool close to the game

Use the two dice roller for a board game, a D20 for a tabletop check or a custom D3 or D7 for a numbered choice. The game’s rules decide what each result means.

A simple classroom tool

For an exercise or shared screen, choose a count and die size before rolling. The tool has no account requirement. It does not create synchronized multiplayer rooms.

More ways to roll

Explore the D&D dice roller, the auto dice roller and the letter dice roller from the tools menu. The dice rolling guide explains notation, averages and randomness.

Frequently asked questions

  • Yes. Independent rolls can produce the same face several times. A previous result does not make a particular next face more likely.

  • Yes. Read the individual values first, then the modifier and the final total. The modifier is added once per roll, not to every die.

  • No. History is kept in your own browser tab only. There are no shared multiplayer rooms.

  • Each die uses your browser’s cryptographic random number generator. Values that would favour some faces are thrown away and drawn again, so every face of a die has the same chance.
